Won't work after re-install

I've re-installed windows (10) on my PC, filebot was working fine before, but since putting all my programs back on, it no longer works?
The error message at the top of the screen reads:

Code: Select all

NoClassDefFoundError : Could not initialize class com.sun.jna.platform.win32.shellAPI$SHFILEOPSTRUCT

Did you install FileBot via the Microsoft Store?

No I have the original which has been working fine for me over the past two years. I donated so why should I pay again?

This particular issue is covered in the FAQ.

Also, if you were to use the Microsoft Store, this issue couldn't be an issue, because it'll always install the appropriate binaries for your architecture.

I recommend using the Windows Store. Automated package management via the Windows Store takes care of these kinds of user errors.

No worries. That's understandable. If the price / value of FileBot doesn't match your requirements, then I recommend finding another tool where the price / value works out for you. There are plenty of free (albeit inferior) alternatives.

FileBot is clearly the best tool for the job. There are no real alternatives.
