The $1000 post is simply a Thank You not to everyone who has pledged so far. There is no download links attached to this post and thus it is not a monetized post. It's simply an update to all the ~500 supporters we have pledged so far.
Patreon is about pledging money, not about donating. That means that your $1 pledge won't be collected until I publish new releases, and I won't work on new releases until the 1000 supporters milestone is reached. You are at no risk of loosing $1 if I don't deliver. You will loose $1 if I do deliver, which sounds like a really really really good deal to me.

Publishing new well-tested and well-supported Linux packages will take a few weeks though, so don't expect an instant release on the spot when the counter hits 1000 supporters. It'll take a while, and pledges won't be collected until I'm ready to publish something.
