Need help with {group}
Re: Need help with {group}
Have you tried the latest version?
Re: Need help with {group}
You can install and try the latest version just fine without plugging in a license. It'll ask for one if and when required, such as when actually renaming files. But matching and formatting and --action test will run just fine.

I recommend the $6 option for the vast majority of users.
The older versions aren't being maintained or tested, but if this is also an issue with the latest version, then I will look into it and fix it.

1.
I'll look into it. Maybe because that one was only added recently.

Re: Need help with {group}
Here's what I get:
Code: Select all
$ filebot -mediainfo *.mp4 --format "{fn} => {group}"
Alias.1x01.[MOViEADDiCTS] => MOViEADDiCTS
Code: Select all
$ filebot -version
FileBot 4.8.5 (r6224) / OpenJDK Runtime Environment 11.0.2 / Mac OS X 10.14.3 (x86_64)

You can use the universal-jdk8 package source for Ubuntu 18.04 LTS:
