When I try to match shows in filebot it just spins forever. It does this in the GUI and the cmd prompt.
I usually use thetvdb but tried other TV sites and they all do the same thing.
I looked for an error log but there isn't one, I think because it never times out or throws an error.
I restarted the VM, make sure I was on the latest version, did a repair install, ran as admin, it just sits there spinning.
The cmd has hung scripts that were there for at least a week, so I don't think its just "running slow".
Any advice would be appreciated.

Most likely a network issue. Does it not produce any kind of error even if you let it run for an hour? What does the log say? The log always exists and will always print no less than one line, which is the log file path itself. Please read How to Request Help for details on how to view the log.
