Unable to install msi on windows

I was using version 5.0.0 and it tried upgrading to version 5.0.1
Installer first uninstalled the old version and when trying to install the new version it fails on trying to create a directory (actually my own "Desktop" directory), and now i cannot either reinstall 5.0.0, nor 5.0.1 (haven't tried even older versions) due to the same error on all.
OS: Windows 11
Note: My OS is as usual installed on C:, but my Desktop is on D:, not sure if that might be confusing the installer or what

Have you tried turning your computer off and on again?


Since this is likely a generic MSI installer issue (the MSI contains FileBot files; but no FileBot code is running during installation; think zip archive) you may be able to Google the issue as well:

The MSI WIX XML installer descriptor has not changed from 5.0.0 to 5.0.1 neither.


You can always use the portable ZIP if Windows is giving you trouble.
