FileBot 5.2.0 fn:amc - Incorrect matching well known movies

Post by dkarp0 »

filebot -script fn:sysinfo
Console logs

Command:

Shell: Select all

filebot -script fn:amc --output /home/filebot/output --action symlink --conflict skip -non-strict --log-file /home/filebot/config/amc.log --def unsorted=y artwork=y excludeList=/home/filebot/config/amc.txt subtitles=en clean=y /home/data/remixed/.
The movies are The Beach and Bean. I almost never get a failing match, and only for unusual movies, but I've had these 2 fail back to back.

Filenames are well defined:
  • The.Beach.1997.1080p.WEB-DL.DDP5.1.H.264-TEPES.mkv
  • Bean.The.Movie.1997.BluRay.1080p.DTS.x264-CHD.mkv

:?: Do you have any *.nfo files in your /home/data/remixed folder? (NOTE: *.nfo files can be used to force a specific movie by ID)

No, I don't have any *.nfo files in there:

Code: Select all

 ls /home/data/remixed/*.nfo
ls: cannot access '/home/data/remixed/*.nfo': No such file or directory

I ran some tests and those two files really just don't work...

 Bean.The.Movie.1997 doesn't work because Search "Bean The Movie" doesn't work because "Bean The Movie" hasn't been added as an alias name for Bean (1997). (NOTE: I have now added the missing alternative title)

 The.Beach.1997 doesn't work because Search "The Beach" y:1997 doesn't work because The Beach (2000) is actually from a different year.

 In this case you might have to pre-rename the files to Bean.1997 and The.Beach.2000 for the amc script to work. Alternatively, you can also use the Desktop application and select / force the correct movie match if as needed.

Thanks! looks like I was just unlucky to get a incorrectly set year and bad alias back to back! Like I said, I almost never get an incorrect match

No worries. Please report any bad match so we can investigate. We might be able to fix things one way or another, at least for the next guy. The "Spawn" match is so bad it's funny, but it's because "Spawn: The Movie" is an alternative title there and that makes for a relatively good string similarity mach with Bean The Movie. Bad luck, but interesting how these things can work out unexpectedly in specific corner cases.
