Movie matches do not match movie name

Hi,

I was cleaning up my library and found these files wrongly named, so I renamed them back to original correct names but now it wont match correctly, only wants to rename them to the old matches.

I have cleared the caches, restarted and now just don't know what to do.

My basic SOLUTION -- Shift double Click on file, "Set Attributes" correct wildly wrong match.

QUESTION: Where are these attributes stored?

If you want to un-rename previously miss-renamed files, then you will want to use the Revert files via the internal History feature, as opposed to manually renaming files again. That will undo the rename operation and clear xattr metadata from the extended file system attributes:




In general, to fix any kind of mismatch regardless of the cause, you can always use Edit Match to manually set a different movie match:

I see that it was the xattr, and this is what I cleared and reset via "Set Attribute"

Unfortunately I had cleared history so could not use the methods you suggested, but at least I now know what caused my problem.
