Filebot License Expired

Post by Anvilb »

Sorry to bother, I thought I did this could get around this by following your steps last time. But when I went to select the file I got a license expired message. How can I fix this? I usually renew in July-ish time frame.

Apologies again...I cant seem to paste a screenshot or attached a PNG file.Think I am getting to old, LOL

:?: What does the error message say? You can check the log for previous error messages. Please read How do I open the Debug Console / Groovy Pad? if you don't know how to find the log.

 We greatly prefer error messages as copy & pasted text, not screenshots, but if you want to learn how sharing screenshots on the internet works in general, then How can I share screenshots? is a worthwhile read.

I just bought Filebot from the Microsoft Store and every time I launch the program I keep getting this notice:

"FileBot License P6*******0 (Valid-Until: 2025-09-09) has expired 182 days ago."

The program still works though.

 Please uninstall all versions of FileBot that you may have installed and then only install FileBot via the Microsoft Store.

 [FAQ] How do I restore my Microsoft Store or Mac App Store purchase?

 If FileBot is using a standalone license key or is asking for a standalone license key, then you have downloaded and installed FileBot via this website, and not via the Microsoft Store. You can install multiple editions of FileBot at the same time, but if you do so then you need to be aware of which one you are using at the time, so to avoid confusion it's best to not have multiple editions of FileBot installed at the same time.
