ioexception when trying to rename

Post by borgerd »

I'm on a Mac run ng snow leopard. All of a sudden filebot is showing an ioexception error when trying to rename files. It says "moving" which it has never done Before and then fails. I don't want to move any files just preserve the path and rename the files. Any help is appreciated.

Hi borgerd,

Can you please run with FileBot (console) and paste the output here?

Also opening cmd and running this command would be helpful:

Code: Select all

filebot -script fn:sysinfo
It might also help to upload a screen shot via http://snag.gy/ and paste the link here as well.

Thanks!

Thanks for the effort however I managed to solve the problem.
Apparently OSX now likes to lock all my media files.
Filebot cannot rename locked files and was thus giving me the error.
I simply unlocked the files and was able to rename my media without a problem.

Hi, I have the same problem. Also using OSX but not sure by what you mean by "locking" /"Unlocking" Media files.

Can you please tell me how you solved it ?

Thank you

EDIT: I'm using amc.groovy script, when i use the UI, the rename works !!!
