Unable to start filebot on kubuntu 13.10

Hi all and many thanks in advance,

I've been using filebot on Windows and I like a lot this program, my problem is I want to use it on Kubuntu 13.10 x64 and can't make it work.

I've try to install latest version (4.0) and also 3.8 with same result: program seems to be installed but when I try to open it appears and bounces during a time on taskbar and then dissapear (doesn't open).

I've try to install in this way:

$ sudo apt-get install gdebi
$ wget sourceforge.net/projects/filebot/files/filebot/FileBot_4.0/filebot_4.0_amd64.deb
$ sudo gdebi filebot_4.0_amd64.deb

And also in this way:

sudo dpkg -i filebot_4.0_amd64.deb

The result is the same

How come you haven't tried running filebot from cmdline and see if there's any error output?
