:!: You're asking the wrong question. You don't actually want to rewrite the embedded media information. You just want Plex to ignore the title field.

:idea: You can make Plex display nice titles, and not the embedded media title, by disabling Prefer local metadata in the library settings and Local Media Assets in the agent settings.
