I have a workflow downloading TV Episodes from RSS feed, then moving those files over to my media server, renaming and grabbing media data along the way. There's one particular show where I seem to be the only person entering episode data into TheTVDB; this show airs five days a week, but it's not on every week and notice of and information for upcoming episodes is rarely posted longer than a week and half ahead. If an episode or series of episodes comes in that doesn't exist in the TVDB database, FileBot obviously doesn't recognize it. So I go to TheTVDB and add it and the other files from that week using info cut and pasted from the show's network site.
That's all fine.
The problem is that those new episode additions won't be recognized by FileBot (either through CLI/AMC or UI) until the next day. Manually trying to rename the file or get episode descriptions fail (or more often, mismatch). XBMC itself has no issue grabbing the same data immediately if I move the files manually and have XBMC get the show information.
Is FileBot caching theTVDB's database, or accessing a cached version? This seems very odd.
Delay seeing TheTVDB.com changes
Re: Delay seeing TheTVDB.com changes
Yes, FileBot is doing some heavy caching, at least 2-3 days.
Try running filebot -clear-cache after updating the online data. In the GUI you can also just do CTRL+SHIFT+DEL to clear the caches.
