Multiple Subtitles: "The highest-quality file was chosen over..."

Post by jkr4m3r »

What, exactly, is the criteria that Filebot uses to decide this?

Filename (numbered)?
Date?

Curious.

If it was a video file, then the algorithm would consider resolution, bitrate and file size. If it's a subtitle file, then the algorithm will probably use file size alone.

 You'll want to modify your custom format so that different subtitle files get different file paths, thus no conflicts.

Yep. I guess the wording of that particular conflict resolution message makes more sense for some files and less so for others. So for subtitles you can pretty much ignore the details take it as "multiple subtitles are destined for the same file path, and so FileBot picked one of them at random".
