I have my video files that I want to process in a folder named as below:
C:\Video_Files\video_file_s1e1
After renaming them I manually move them over to my media server.
My problem is that whenever I run rename it always tries match the folder name "Video_Files"
Is there any way I can get filebot to ignore the name of the stored folder?
Rename Ignoring Folder Name (e.g. Humax)
Re: Rename Ignoring Folder Name
Is "Video_Files" an example or actually the literal folder name?
I ask because "video_file_s1e1" is probably not an actual file name. Also, the specific folder name "Video_Files" is likely considered meaningless by default as there is no movie / series by that name and thus ignored by default.
Please post screenshots and real file paths. See "How to Request Help" in my signature for details.

Re: Rename Ignoring Folder Name
I see. I will add Humax to the training data. Out of curiosity, what does Humax mean? Name of some NAS brand? English?
You can fix the issue yourself by removing the Humax folder level, or by renaming Humax to something meaning less like Video Files or Complete or Downloads or Media etc. Renaming Video's to Videos would probably also do the trick.
Alternatively, consider switching from Manual Confirmation to Automatic Selection to just make the confirmation dialog go away. You can make a random decision or no decision. If you allow FileBot to remember your decision then it won't ask again. See Match Mode: Opportunistic vs Strict for details.

Re: Rename Ignoring Folder Name
Thank you very much for your help on this.
Humax is a PVR brand here in the UK.
I use that folder for editing files transferred from it so have designated that folder for all video files I'm working on.
I've removed the apostrophe from video's and switched to Strict Match Mode.
I thought there may be a binding I had missed but I'm more than happy to just click a few buttons than edit all my presets.

Cheers. I'll add that to the training data set. It'll work better in the future.

Re: Rename Ignoring Folder Name (e.g. Humax)
I didn't want to post too soon but I've been using the latest version for a few days now & haven't once been asked about renaming everything Humans.
Thank you for your excellent support.
