[Anime] How do I rename One Piece for Plex?

Post by rednoah »

Let's assume that we have One Piece episodes 1 to 1125 named and numbered with absolute numbers according to Icon AniDB as illustrated below:

Code: Select all

One Piece Episode 1.mkv
One Piece Episode 2.mkv
...
One Piece Episode 1124.mkv
One Piece Episode 1125.mkv

Organize Episodes for Plex

Episode Mode: TheMovieDB and Organize Episodes for Plex (with TheMovieDB) will just work by default since One Piece is primarily organized with absolute numbers on Icon TheMovieDB and so the numbers you have and the numbers you want match up:

Convert AniDB to TheTVDB numbers

If you want Icon TheTVDB SxE numbers then things are a bit more tricky. The Icon TheTVDB SxE numbers you want are completely different from the absolute numbers you have. Some finesse is required in this case as automatic matching will likely not just work. That said, the Convert AniDB to TheTVDB numbers built-in Preset has got you covered:

Match by Absolute Number

If we have absolute numbers but want SxE numbers, then we can use the Match by Absolute Number built-in Preset. This approach will work for both Icon TheMovieDB (default) as well as Icon TheTVDB. If you want to use Icon TheTVDB as database then you can edit the Match by Absolute Number preset to fit your needs.
