switching eMails for License Renewal

Post by RutenRudi »

Hi there,

my FileBot license ran out yesterday, so obviously I want to renew it :)
I noticed I'm using an old adress for the purchase, I still have full access but try to "switch" to different ones these days. Before I just get a new license with a different eMail adress, I wanted to make sure that this doesn't lead to any issues in the process, on your side or mine?

Best Regards

Each 1-year purchase is unique and stands on its own. You can use a different email address every time. The checkout process (for better or worse) does not know or care if you're a repeat customer.

 If you click Renew License in the FileBot Desktop application then your email address will be pre-filled from your current license information. That simplifies the checkout process for you, but it's mainly so that you can't mistype your email address, because that would lead to issues for everyone.

 If you just go to https://www.filebot.net/purchase.html directly then the checkout process will ask you to enter your email address in the first step. Just make sure not to mistype your email address. ;)

Hi rednoah,

thanks for the swift reply! And also thanks for explaining the "Renew License" option, because that one made me post here, ha :)

Purchase went through and the new license is installed already. It's my third year now I think - still tremendously happy. Thanks again :)

Best Regards
