Hire Request: Router AC56U

Post by aeolius »

Wanting to have filebot installed and running to move files on and download metadata on attached hard drive.

Hardware Specs :
CPU : Broadcom BCM4708A --- Arm (dual) cpu, overclocked to 1200 mhz
Memory : 256 MB (ESMT M15F2G16128A)
Flash: 128 MB
Hard Drive: USB 3.0 3 TB
Runs MerlinWRT which is a variant of AsusWRT which is a highly modified version of Tomato (So WRT flavor of linux)
It can run optware with the obvious drawback that it must be compiled for arm.

Can run JamVM which can run java 1.8 or opensdk 8.

Not sure, but it seems to be powerful enough to run Oracle Java 8 so it might work.

Sent you a PM with my email. If I could log into that box via ssh or screen share and try a few things that would be good.

I know this is an old post, but were you able to get FileBot working with JamVM? If so, any tips? I am getting the following error message:

java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: net/filebot/Main
at java.lang.VMClass.forName(Native Method)
at java.lang.Class.forName(Class.java:233)
at jamvm.java.lang.JarLauncher.main(JarLauncher.java:46)

FileBot is fairly complex and hasn't been tested with JamVM so it's fairly safe to assume that it won't work. Also, I kinda doubt they'd have full Java 8 support.

Have you tried the official Oracle Java SE 8 Embedded?
