Suball command vs GUI

Post by fileboi »

I've noticed that running the suball command (strict or non strict) doesn't always return the latest results from opensubtitles. Suball tells me that there are no matches. However, using the GUI to get subtitles for the same tv show episode has no problem. Is this because the suball CLI command is using cached results and not truly fetching them from opensubtitles? How could I get around this, by using -clear-cache every time? I'd like to have subtitles as soon as possible so my family members can watch their shows. Thanks.

1.
Logs + Screenshots please. GUI and CLI might work slightly different, but they access the same api/data/cache and while caching may be involved, it's gonna be the same for GUI and CLI.

2.
Do not call -clear-cache everytime. If you call it more than once per day you will get banned.
