Network Drives and Filebot

Post by badogski29 »

I have and SMB share on my freeNAS, I can access and do changes with it in the file explorer. But when I try to do a rename with Filebot, it's having permission problems. This is all in Windows 10.

Ill try that, and just found out you also have a docker image for filebot, however can't figure out setting it up on FreeNAS corral.

I just set the user "Everyone" to have write access and filebot said rename complete but my files are gone. Good thing it was just a test run and had a backup.

By "Gone" do you mean they're not displayed in Windows Explorer when accessing the SMB share? Or, you have logged into the NAS via SSH and used cd and ls to check if the files are really gone and not listed in the filesystem?

If the former, then it's just a caching / SMB issue. If the latter, I'd check the FileBot logs and server-side SMB logs and see if it says anything. Files are never just "Gone" after Windows / SMB reporting move success. ;)
