I'm on Filebot version 5.1.7 on macOS. After renaming a series of cartoons I wanted to rename a couple of documentaries found in the extra materials. Now all the files I import in original files are greyed out no matter what I do and I can't remember changing any settings. Restarting filebot doesn't help. Can anyone help me or is Filebot just broken?
A file item in the Original Files list is always greyed out if there is no corresponding episode item in the New Names list and vice versa. That is normal and simply indicates that the file at hand does not yet have a match.
What is the complete file path / file size / video duration of the file at hand?
The "0 episode files have been select alongside 2 companion files" message means that the files you have loaded into Original Files are not / or seemingly are not episode files and so automatic matching does not work for the files at hand. Being located in a folder named "Extras" or similar / the lack of SxE numbers in the file name / a small file size / a short video duration / etc can lead to files being classified / misclassified as Companion Files and thus auto-excluded from auto-matching.
You can always use manual matching if these two files are indeed episodes that belong to some series and are listed in the episode list of that series in your chosen database. Please read FAQ #2 and Manual Matching for details.
