Re: lost my license when filebot upgraded
10.15.8 catalina, I don't want to upgrade. When Filebot went to its newest upgrade it just made it so it tries to boot up, bounces a few times and never opens. So I rolled back to an older version to get it back working and when I uninstalled I lost my license key.

Re: lost my license when filebot upgraded
I dont have the error log as to even just get it to open I uninstalled the newest upgrade. At this point I just need my old license mailed to my email address and your forum wont let me pm to ask.
Re: lost my license when filebot upgraded
Since you are now confirmed human (i.e. have 1 or more approved posts) you can now send me a PM with your email address. This is only necessary in this particular case since you seem to be using multiple different email addresses.vkmtv wrote: 25 Feb 2026, 16:16 At this point I just need my old license mailed to my email address and your forum wont let me pm to ask.
Alternatively, you can always use the self-service support system from our payment provider Paddle (see How do I recover a lost license key?) to request a resend.
Re: lost my license when filebot upgraded
I have found a MBP 2017 running macOS 13.7.8 (Ventura) and can personally confirm that FileBot 5.2.1 from the Mac App Store fundamentally works at the very least on that machine.rednoah wrote: 25 Feb 2026, 14:07macOS 10.15 is generally supported, though not something we test on nowadays, so there could be unexpected dependency issues.
What does the error log say? What does the console output say when you run filebot from console?
Re: lost my license when filebot upgraded
FileBot 5.2.3 should restore support for very old versions of macOS. Can you confirm that it's working again?vkmtv wrote: 25 Feb 2026, 14:01 10.15.8 catalina, I don't want to upgrade.
