How to rename files and save them not in a folder (Windows 10)

Hello--The files I want to rename are all stored in individual folders. I just renamed about 200 of them and only 1/3 of them were saved as just the file name. The rest were renamed but saved in folders that weren't renamed. I don't want the folders but if I have to keep them I would like them to be renamed as well.

Perhaps reading FAQ #1 and learning about format expressions will help you along with customizing the destination paths to your liking?
