FileBot not adding subfolder despite using {plex}

Post by Ollie »

Hey folks. New to filebot. I have filebot standalone installed on Windows 10 which is accessing my unraid share.

I'm running a test using Alita: Battle Angel.

Fetching from: TheMovieDB
Format is: {drive}/Media/{plex.id} but I've also tried {drive}/Media/n/{plex.id} based off of checking https://www.filebot.net/naming.html
Output: P:\media\movies\Alita Battle Angel (2019).mkv
Expected Output: P:\media\movies\Alita Battle Angel (2019)\Alita Battle Angel (2019).mkv

It's renaming it fine, but it's just not creating the same named sub folder.

Am I wrong that Plex prefers the file in the same named folder or am I using filebot wrong?

Thank you and let me know if you need more info.

That would strongly suggest that you are in fact not using the format you think you are using for some reason. If you're using the GUI then my educated guess would be that you have set the Episode Format and not the Movie Format.

:idea: If you match first and then do Double-Click <New Names item> ➔ Edit Format then you can't go wrong. If you set your format ahead of time via Fetch Data ➔ Edit Format then you may need to switch between the Episode Format / Movie Format / etc before editing your desired format.

Thank You! It was the double clicking on the new that did the trick. I was right clicking and hitting edit format, and that did put me in TV format. I hope you have a great rest of your day, and thanks again!
