FileBot not recognizing network folder on Windows 11

Post by sophia2005 »

Hi everyone,
I am using FileBot on Windows 11 and am having trouble accessing a shared folder on my local network (NAS). When I select the path via \\192.168.x.x\shared, FileBot does not recognize the content, while Windows Explorer opens normally.

Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Do I need to adjust the access rights or configure anything special in FileBot to work with network drives?

Thanks, everyone, in advance!

:?: Are you selecting files and dragging-n-dropping them into FileBot? Are you using the Load button and then selecting a network share root via the File Dialog? Have you tried selecting specific files / specific folders other than the share root?

Not really. FileBot uses UNC file paths just like any other file path. Windows itself takes care of listing files / performing file operations / etc.

 That said, if UNC network file paths are not working for you for one reason or another, then you can always try a mapped network drive instead.
