External Subtitles not recognized as proper Files

Hi, I try to rename so Sereis, but I have the problem that the Episodes and some Subtitles are properly recognized, but others aren´t.
How can I fix this?

Like:
Seriesname.e144-forced .sub/idx recognized
Seriesname.e133-forced nothing recognized
Or somtimes one Subtitle is recognized, but not the other.

It´s always the same format.

Can I somehow focre that it will be recognized? Loading the Names from "Episodes" does just make it worse.

What does "worse" mean exactly in this context? Screenshot?

If you're manually matching files, then manually fixing and aligning matches as needed is part of the process, because tricky files oftentimes don't just align by default. Please read FAQ #2 and Manual Matching for details.

I currently get this with two Shows.

Here the Subs are detected up to Episode five, afterwards not a single one.

On a side note: Can I somehow make it recognize Subtitles when I load the Information from the "Episodes" Tab?

Do the screenshots show the result of Automatic Matching or Manual Matching? The same episode number seems to get matched to different episodes. That would be very unusual for Automatic Matching but very much expected if you align files via th Match button because 1:1 alignment isn't possible if you have 3 files for 1 episode.


Please post file paths as text so that we can try to reproduce the issue.


If you are using Manual Matching and have the same Episode multiple times (i.e. one video file, multiple subtitle files) then you will have to drop in Episode objects from the Episodes tool multiple times, i.e. CTRL+C once to copy and then CTRL+V multiple times to paste multiple times. The Match button can help you align things, and because files / episodes are aligned 1:1 the episode has to exist N times on the right-hand side if you have corresponding files N times on the left-hand side.

I just used: Match ->TVDB -> This Output.
Interestingly, this only happens when I paste the whole Series, when I only add a single Episode Folder it is correctly identified.

Note that your kill.la.kill.e14 sample folder does not include a video file, and so automatic matching may work worse (or just differently) for those orphaned subtitle files, especially since the kill la kill e01 parent folder identifies every single episode as episode e01 in addition the correct episode number e14 found in the file name:
