Hi,
After updating to the latest version, my presets are deleted and a lot of (for me) useless presets are installed. Deletion of the presets is not possible.
How can I delete them?
Best Regards
Max
Presets lost after update

Re: Presets lost after update
Thx a lot, that worked for me.
By the way, I have installed via msi and have had presets. OS is Win11Pro

The story continues...
After creating my presets, I have to click them with every new files I want to rename. The former version of filebot need this choice only at the start.
Any idea?

Re: Presets lost after update
That is generally how Presets work:HappyMax wrote: 13 Dec 2024, 01:08 After creating my presets, I have to click them with every new files I want to rename. The former version of filebot need this choice only at the start.
(1) Load files
(2) Click Presets ➔ Organize Episodes for Plex
(3) Click Rename
Ashkaan4 wrote: 26 Aug 2024, 19:07 Step 1: Open the app
Step 2: Add the media on the left side
Step 3: Go to Episodes
Step 4: Paste the name of the show
Step 5: Choose the episode and click Send to > Rename
Step 6: Click Presets > Choose the only one (which is the default naming scheme that I want)
Suddenly, the work I did in Step 5 gets cleared and I have a popup that I have to close out of
Step 7: Choose the episode and click Send to > Rename
Step 8: Match
EDIT:
Looks like we changed topic, so before I forget, out of curiosity, did you end up finding anything interesting in the %APPDATA%\FileBot folder?
rednoah wrote: 08 Dec 2024, 03:43You could check the contents and last-modified time stamp of the %APPDATA%\FileBot\preferences.backup.xml file. FileBot does update the backup once per month, or if no backup exists yet, so depending on the situation, you may find your previous settings there. If you do find your previous settings, then that would be very interesting, a bug that we could fix.

No, I copy the files in filebot, search my series and select the preset. That's all.rednoah wrote: 13 Dec 2024, 06:19
Do you mean to say that you are primarily using the Episodes tool to manually match files by any chance?

You would typically do:
(1) Add files
(2) Select Preset
FileBot will then continue to identify the files using the database specified (and possibly ask you to select a series if there are multiple options) in the Preset and then format the matches using the format specified in the Preset. There is notably no "search my series" step before selecting a Preset. That would suggest that we're not on the same page. Maybe screenshots would help?
Re: Presets lost after update
If you just mean to change the default format then you can do Double-Click <New Names item> ➔ Edit Format.
