I've sent you a complimentary license. Your time is much appreciated. I'll see if I can make any improvements based on the issues you illustrate in your video, additional docs and tutorials, especially for the supplementary tools.

Re: Metadata and Extended Attributes

Post by juan »

Can this be used to save the audios and subtitles mediainfo of the multimedia file?

It could be great to have this added to the xattr attributes (or file), so, Plex don't need to scan the multimedia file to get the audio and subtitle languages, the default audio, the forced subtitles, the duratión of the film....

This with a combination of an unionfs or mergerfs to save the xattr attributes, and rclone with a cloud provider (like a gsuite), could be perfect.

Or maybe apart of the xattr attributes, the data could be saved on an .nfo like the one that jellyfin creates, that have all this information!!

Code: Select all

  <fileinfo>
    <streamdetails>
      <video>
        <codec>h264</codec>
        <micodec>h264</micodec>

FileBot xattr metadata does not include MediaInfo, since that's readily available in the file itself. There are existing scripts for exporting MediaInfo, but there's no standardized way of passing any of that information on to Plex or Jellyfin. You could write your own integration though.

Is there a script to convert from one type of xattr.store to another?
In particular I'm thinking about switching to plain text files instead of embedded for a filesystem change.
I only work in black and sometimes very, very dark grey. (Batman)

Could be handy if we can see for each option the tvdb or themoviedb id, because sometimes some series or movies have the same name, so we need more info to choose the correct option!

Re: [DEB] Debian package

Post by mouzzampk2014 »

Hi, I currently installed filebot on ubuntu 18.04 via this

Code: Select all

bash -xu <<< "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/filebot/plugins/master/installer/deb.sh)"
because

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install filebot
gave me errors.

And I believe `4.9.0` is ready for release. So I am not sure how I am going to update from current version?

Code: Select all

4.8.5 to 4.9.0
And is there any reason I am getting this error on two different machine with same ubuntu 18.04 when I try to install via this?

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install filebot
Thank you

FileBot 4.9.0 is in beta and no final release has been published at this point in time. The apt repository is only available for the latest stable release, which is FileBot 4.8.5 at the time of writing.

Oops then I definitely read it wrong somewhere about 4.9.0 :D but when I tried to install 4.8.5 via apt repository I was getting errors so I have been told to run it via bash. Now I am little confuse.

Re: FileBot on the Mac App Store

Post by rednoah »

Updates:

The MAS causes a disproportionate amount of extra work to developers, due to ever-changing Apple rules, which causes apps that were fine in the past, to not pass review in the future, and thus making it impossible to reliably deploy updates to end users.

:idea: Although I will do my best to continue to support the MAS package into the foreseeable future for the sake of existing users, I shall increase the Price Level to account for the development pain exclusive to this platform.

Mar 19, 2020: 4.9.0 Binary Rejected

Code: Select all

Guideline 2.4.5(v) - Performance
* Your app requests admin access from the user launching the app.
* App is asking for KeyStroke access.
Guideline 5.1.1 - Legal - Privacy - Data Collection and Storage
* We noticed that your app requests the user’s consent to access their Network Volume but does not clarify the use of this feature in the applicable purpose string.
:arrow: These issues cannot be fixed, as they're either incorrect (i.e. MAS sandboxing doesn't allow admin access and file system access in the first place) or caused by the underlying Java / JavaFX runtime which cannot be easily fixed. Hence, FileBot 4.9.0 will not be published on the Mac App Store, unless Apple Review decides to accept the package as is.

Re: [RPM] Fedora package

Post by rednoah »

rednoah wrote: 10 May 2019, 14:19 The RPM package is tested on Fedora.

Since some of these dependency are optional, or can be provided by the user manually, Requires is not ideal, but since there's no Recommends AFAIK, this is what we've got:

Code: Select all

Requires:       java-1.8.0-openjdk
Requires:       java-1.8.0-openjdk-openjfx
Requires:       jna
Requires:       mediainfo
Requires:       p7zip
Requires:       p7zip-plugins
Using Recommends now leads to users not installing the recommended dependencies:

Re: Conditional Structures (if-then-else)

Post by aryanprincesanty »

Can someone help me with making an if else condition for {group}? I have movies from 2 main groups, Tigole and YTS (YTS.LT, YTS.MX, YTS.AM). I want my files to look like:

Code: Select all

 8 Mile (2002) [1080p BLURAY x265 10-bit AAC 5.1 QxR]

Code: Select all

 Ad Astra (2019) [1080p WEBRIP x264 8-bit AAC 2.0 YTS.LT]
I want it such that if file contains Tigole or QxR, I want it to have Tigole in filename. If file contains YTS.LT, YTS.MX, YTS.AM or nothing, I want it to have only YTS in filename.

e.g. if file name contains Tigole, yield Tigole, otherwise yield YTS:

Code: Select all

fn =~ /Tigole|QxR/ ? 'Tigole' : 'YTS'

What components are you looking for?

All components relevant to {plex} are listed as examples here. A large number of properties and methods are inherited from the File class but those are largely irrelevant for {plex} related use cases.

:idea: {plex.properties} can be used see all properties. This is a Groovy thing and applies to all classes and isn't specific to {plex} or the File class.

Heads up: the version 4.9 RPM does not contain a "filebot" file anymore. The install section contains it, but the file is missing.

Code: Select all

The symlinks that the %post tries to create are not present, though the jna pacakge is installed:

$ sudo find /usr/lib/ -name *jna.jar*
/usr/lib/java/jna/jna.jar
/usr/lib/java/jna.jar
$ sudo find /usr/bin/ -name *filebot*
I do not have the source RPM, but looking at the scripts I think I would suggest moving the symlinks into the %install section, rather than in %post. The additional benefit is that you no longer need the %preun either, because those symlinks are owned by the package. If it's uninstalled, they go with it.

Would you like to supply the RPM to me to test before deploying? If you supply the SRPM, I can test (and tune as needed) as well. You can build both packages using `rpmbuild -ba` and the source will be placed into SRPMS instead the usual RPM directory.

Yes. Build in progress. I'll update when it's done.

EDIT:

Code: Select all

[exec] + ln -sf /usr/share/filebot/bin/filebot.sh /rpm/BUILDROOT/filebot-4.9.1-universal.jdk8.x86_64/usr/bin/filebot
     [exec] ln: failed to create symbolic link '/rpm/BUILDROOT/filebot-4.9.1-universal.jdk8.x86_64/usr/bin/filebot': No such file or directory
     [exec] error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.knnhfj (%install)
     [exec] Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.knnhfj (%install)
Can I create dangling symlinks in %install? I don't really have a source package. I only have binaries that I package up in a docker container with the RPM toolchains.

EDIT:

Trying again with this:

Code: Select all

%install
cp -rvf %{src}/usr %{src}/etc %{buildroot}
mkdir -p /usr/share/filebot/bin
ln -sf /usr/share/filebot/bin/filebot.sh %{buildroot}/usr/bin/filebot
mkdir -p /usr/lib/java
touch /usr/lib/java/jna.jar
ln -sf /usr/lib/java/jna.jar %{buildroot}/usr/share/filebot/jar/jna.jar

That seems to work:

Code: Select all

%install
cp -rvf %{src}/usr %{src}/etc %{buildroot}
ln -sf /usr/lib/java/jna.jar %{buildroot}/usr/share/filebot/jar/jna.jar
mkdir -p %{buildroot}/usr/bin && ln -sf /usr/share/filebot/bin/filebot.sh %{buildroot}/usr/bin/filebot

I spoke too soon. The package installs, but now the symlink for filebot is missing. The other symlink, for jna.jar, is still there.

Any ideas? RPM makes even easy things difficult. I'll revert things and leave it as it is otherwise, as it seemed to work at least for install if not for upgrade.

FileBot r7342 uses this spec:

Code: Select all

Name:           @{package.name}
Version:        @{application.version}
Release:        universal.jdk8
Summary:        @{package.synopsis}
License:        Proprietary

BuildArch:      noarch

Recommends:     java-1.8.0-openjdk
Recommends:     java-1.8.0-openjdk-openjfx
Requires:       jna
Recommends:     mediainfo
Recommends:     p7zip
Recommends:     p7zip-plugins

%description
@{package.description}

%install
cp -rvf %{src}/usr %{src}/etc %{buildroot}

%files
/*

%post
ln -sf /usr/share/filebot/bin/filebot.sh /usr/bin/filebot
ln -sf /usr/lib/java/jna.jar /usr/share/filebot/jar/jna.jar

%preun
[ $1 -eq 0 ]; then
    rm -f /usr/bin/filebot
    rm -f /usr/share/filebot/jar/jna.jar

:idea: %preun now takes into account that RPM calls %preun on pre-upgrade but not %post on post-upgrade.

Re: Plex Naming Schemes

Post by nex0r »

I'm using {plex.name} which is awesome as it sorts out difficult names like 24 has with colon's etc.

24 - S02E01 - Day 2 - 8.00 A.M. - 9.00 A.M.mkv

Is there a simple way to force the season and episode characters to lower case using {plex.name}?

24 - s02e01 - Day 2 - 8.00 A.M. - 9.00 A.M.mkv

There is a simple way of making everything lower case, including series name and episode title. There is no simple way to make just the S00E00 part lower case. The not-so-simple way would be to write your own custom format instead of relying on {plex} entirely.

Re: Plex Naming Schemes

Post by hstorey219 »

Hi There,
I thought I had this working, but my format is still creating folders inside the main folder.
For example:
Media/Movies/Girls Trip (2017)
Then inside the folder Girls Trip (2017) is the video, but when I run Filebot, it will create this Media/Movies/Girls Trip (2017)/Girls trip (2017)
I just want Filebot to rename the folder and video file into Plex format without creating any folders.

Code: Select all

filebot -script fn:amc "W:Media/" --action move --format {plex.tail} -non-strict --def excludeList=W:/media/amc.txt

That is what {plex.tail} does, i.e. the Plex path without leading Movies / Series folder. You probably mean {plex.name} which refers to the filename part, without path components.

:!: Note that Plex assumes a certain a certain path, and not just file name. If you stray from that path, then all bets or off, and things may or may not work for you.

:!: Note that the amc script is explicitly not designed for renaming files in-place. The official recommendation is to organize files into a new structure.

:!: Leaving --output unspecified is bad practice, since it'll just default to the current working directory, whatever it may be.

License Activation is generally self-explanatory, so don't worry about it until FileBot prompts you with instructions:
https://www.filebot.net/activate.html

Logs? Screenshots?

The FileBot package depends on the OpenJDK package, which almost certainly installs the latest 64-bit OpenJDK 11 at this point in time, unless you're running a 32-bit OS.

or \\gaia-prime/Movies/Movie Collections/A/Avatar Collection/Avatar (2009)/Avatar (2009) [720p]

try

Code: Select all

\\gaia-prime\Movies\{any{collection ? ('Movie Collections/'+az+'/'+collection+'/'+ny+'/'+ny) : 'collection found but something is wrong'} {az+'/'+ny+'/'+ny} {'WTF'} }
only if I write {az+'/'+ny+'/'+ny} wrong like so {az'/'+ny+'/'+ny} I get the

or

Code: Select all

\\gaia-prime\Movies\{def altDir = ('Movie Collections/'+az+'/'); any{altDir+collection}{az}}/{ny}/{ny} [{vf}]{subt}
Very interesting this! Is it possible to insert conditional trails within the paths? Like a vf.match in the directory name, can't seem to adapt my normal expression. Even when i got the syntax right it crashed paths for movies that didn't match vf

Code: Select all

{any{'[Collections]/'+collection+'/'+'('+y+')'+' '+n}{ny+' ['+vf.match(/720[pP]|1080[pP]/)+']'+'/'+ny}}
I don't know how to play around Primary title and n either, usually use something like this:

Code: Select all

info.OriginalLanguage =~ /en/ ? primaryTitle : n

Didn't get that sorry, bit of a noob. How do you suggest i write info.OriginalLanguage =~ /en/ ? primaryTitle : n if it's within a {any{'/'/' }{'/'/' }} path? Most syntax i tried don't seem to be working. And what am i missing when it comes to displaying potential attributes on folders like i do with my normal scheme?

e.g. Here's what you asked for specifically:

Code: Select all

{any{info.OriginalLanguage =~ /en/ ? primaryTitle : n}{'No Name'}}

e.g. Here's how you'd work with potential attributes:

Code: Select all

{allOf{vc}{vf}{source}{group}.joining('-', '[', ']')}

Sorry, this guide is already as simple as possible. You may petition the JDownloader developers to make it easier, perhaps even add 1st party integration for FileBot post-processing.

That being said, I'd just stick the FileBot Desktop Application if you're looking for something easy and straight-forward. Presets are great for adding a degree of automation.

It's not a language issue. JDownloader is just difficult to work with, compared to uT and qBT where it's just a matter of copy & paste.

I'd use the one that is more readable. They're not interchangeable though, because the ternary operator does not catch exceptions, and because it does less, I'd expect it to be faster, but definitely not noticeably faster in human time scales.

I'm sure it's possible to optimize speed, and the first step would to profile each part, to see which one is slower than expected. As with everything, the 20 / 80 principle applies, 20% of your code will be responsible for 80% of run time, so it's integral to find out what those 20% are first.

I'm nearly done with my OCD :D

Films is the main one, it's a close relative to plex but with multi entry collection folders and no 'The' prefix. That's how i browse my full library in explorer.

Plex is where things are tidy.

Collections and Studios use a --filter. The All folder in Collections is for single entry collections.

Directors, Genres, Bitrate, Resolution, Size, Ratings, Language, Year have no filter, they're just different sorting orders with different schemes.

For example Language/Other looks like this

Image

I use year first in several ones, like Directors, Studios, Year

You can add Season 0/1 and Special folders via your custom format, e.g.

Code: Select all

{regular ? "Season $s" : "Season 0"}

The level of red indicates how sure FileBot is about the match. If it's red-ish, then it's best to double-check the match, because FileBot isn't sure. Might be correct. Might not. If you need to fix individual matches, then you can do Double Click ➔ Edit Match.

Anime can be tricky. Because officially Anime don't have seasons, but TheTVDB will organize related Anime in seasons if it makes sense, and so different numbering schemes may not be compatible and lead to mismatches. Here's a dedicated thread on how to convert Anime / AniDB numbering to TheTVDB / SxE numbering:
viewtopic.php?t=2769

Enhanced support for subtitles is unfortunately not planned, as subtitles are a legal grey zone, sites come and go, different sites blocked by different countries, etc. OpenSubtitles managed to be around forever somehow, and works well, though a login is required nowadays.

Hi,

Could someone please help me with a conditional statement for (certification). My original preset is:

Code: Select all

{n.replaceAll(/[:|]/, " - ")} ({y})\{n.replaceAll(/[:|]/, " - ")} ({y}) {vf} - {certification}
When it does not find a certification, it simply appends the hyphen at the end of the name but I would like it to only add the hyphen when there is a certification found.

FileBot might not find all the groups for the TV shows I have. How do I make a format such that when {group} exists - it should be added, if not - it should be blank.

My current format is:

Code: Select all

{ny}/Season 0{s}/{ny} - {s00e00} - {t} [{vf} {source} {vc} {if (bitdepth == 10) '10-bit'} {ac} {channels} {if (group != null) {group} else ""}]

What changes should I apply to have my files look like this:
no group:

Code: Select all

Brooklyn Nine-Nine - S02E01 - Undercover [480p x264 8-bit AAC 2.0]
xyz group:

Code: Select all

Brooklyn Nine-Nine - S02E02 - Chocolate Milk [480p x264 8-bit AAC 2.0 XYZ]

That is default. You're probably asking about the preceding blank though, so that you don't end up with a superfluous blank if {group} is undefined.

e.g.

Code: Select all

{" " + group}

Code: Select all

{" " + ac}{" " + channels}{" " + group}
:arrow: viewtopic.php?t=1895

Note the conceptual similarity to previously asked questions:

otr wrote: 17 Aug 2018, 12:10 Hi,

sorry for being silent for a bit, I have been on a short trip. In the meantime, my setup is now working and I wanted to report back my specifics, so that others may benefit, but also so that I can learn in case I have missed something important.

This is what is working for me:

1. jDownloader Event Scripter calls this script

Code: Select all

[{"eventTrigger":"ON_PACKAGE_FINISHED", "enabled":true, "name":"FileBot", "script":"var amcFile = '/volume1/Downloads/jdtofilebotv2.sh';var path = '/volume1/Downloads/'; callAsync(function() {}, amcFile, path);", "eventTriggerSettings":{}, "id":123654}]
For people that were new to this, just like me:
- The above is the exact "text" that you can see in the jDownloader UI. Compare this screenshot: https://snag.gy/kYHCEN.jpg
- id:123654 is a random number I thought of. The way I understand it this is the ID the process runs under and I would be able to find it under this ID, if I had to look for it.

2. the jdtofilebotv2.sh script that is called above

Code: Select all

#!/bin/sh
export JAVA_OPTS="-Xmx256m"
/var/packages/filebot/target/filebot.sh -script 'fn:amc' /volume1/Downloads --output /volume1/Media/ --conflict auto --lang en --def 'clean=y' 'skipExtract=y'  'excludeList=.excludes'
I would be happy to get comments on this, especially since people later might look at this and assume that I did smart things (I did not - I just figured out what works for me somehow).
One issue I have is that I still do not find the filebot log file created by this setup.

Hello, I am a little lost would it be possible to give me the procedure that you followed from a to z because I can not find the configuration files of eventscripter did you use an alternative method Thank's

Post by deadeye »

Hello, I was going to ask for a refund, but it doesn't look like I can PM you using the forum as I just joined (just to try to send you a message). I just wanted a refund as I couldn't try out filebot without buying a license, so I purchased a one year license, but now that I've started using it, I would like to buy the lifetime license. I was hoping I could just get a refund for the one month, then I could purchase the lifetime. I'm not sure how I can message you. Do you have the ability to message me?
Thanks.

Please contact Paddle for a refund directly if you've purchased FileBot recently and don't have any particular technical reason for a refund:
https://www.filebot.net/contact/paddle.html

:!: That being said, the $6 per year license is generally recommended for all users, even and especially users that plan on using FileBot for a long time, since refunds are not possible on the payment method level after a certain amount of time has passed, some 60 to 90 days depending on your payment method. This makes the life-time license effectively non-refundable for most of its life-time, so best to avoid unnecessary commitment.

Suggestion: you can display french subs (vostfr) even when it's not in the original filename. Maybe you have some of these files, nowdays with streaming platforms and mkv a lot of uploads contain subs in several languages within the .mkv, well Filebot can pull that for you!

Code: Select all

{any{textLanguages =~ /fra/ ? 'vostfr' : ''}{fn.match(/VOSTFR|Vostfr|vostFR|VostFR|vostfr/).lower()}}

I'm setting up a new media PC and have copied the Ut script from the old machine: "C:\Program Files\FileBot\filebot.exe" -script fn:amc --output "C:/Plex" --action copy --conflict skip -non-strict --log-file amc.log --def unsorted=y music=y artwork=y "ut_label=%L" "ut_state=%S" "ut_title=%N" "ut_kind=%K" "ut_file=%F" "ut_dir=%D", changing only the C: paths to new setup. When a download is complete it ends up in C:\downloads as specified in Ut Directories but it is not moved to Plex folders. It seems to be something wrong with the variables but I never had to manually change them and can't find it specified in Troubleshooting. Cmd run:

Code: Select all

C:\Users\olero>"C:\Program Files\FileBot\filebot.exe" -script fn:amc --output "C:/Plex" --action copy --conflict skip -non-strict --log-file amc.log --def unsorted=y music=y artwork=y "ut_label=%L" "ut_state=%S" "ut_title=%N" "ut_kind=%K" "ut_file=%F" "ut_dir=%D"
Run script [fn:amc] at [Fri Nov 20 11:15:02 CET 2020]
Parameter: unsorted = y
Parameter: music = y
Parameter: artwork = y
Parameter: ut_label = %L
Parameter: ut_state = %S
Parameter: ut_title = %N
Parameter: ut_kind = %K

Bad ut_state value: %S

If something is not working, first read the Notes above, then just run the command manually in a new console window and see what happens. You CANNOT run the command without replacing the VARIABLES. The variables have to be replaced with actual values first. You can find the actual cmdline call in the µTorrents Logger tab so you can just copy it from there. You may need to enable the Logger tab first (just right-click one of the other tabs like Info).
I can't really add much that isn't already explained in the manual.

The first step is checking if filebot is called at all, and then the second step is checking the log produces by the filebot call:
viewtopic.php?t=3067

:idea: If you copy & paste the command template into CMD then you must also take care of replacing the %variables with values, just like uT does.

I have gone through the instructions. I have a very simple and common setup on a brand new machine so not much to tweak..
Yes filebot is called and it initiates operations but then suddenly stops and the cmd window closes. I'm looking for a log file, probably amc.log but can't find spcification where it's located?

1.
uT will generate a unique command for each completed download by replacing the %variables for the specific completed download at hand:
rednoah wrote: 01 Aug 2012, 13:04 It's always helpful to check the exact command utorrent ends up executing in the Logger tab. It'll look something like this:

Code: Select all

[2013-03-05 20:44:24]  Executing: filebot -script fn:amc --output "D:/Organized Media" --log-file amc.log --action duplicate --conflict override -non-strict --def "ut_dir=D:\Media\Avatar" "ut_file=" "ut_kind=multi" "ut_title=Avatar" "ut_label=" "ut_state=5"

2.
If you use a relative path as --log-file argument, the you will find the log file in the application data folder. Please read Where is the application data folder? for details:
https://www.filebot.net/manual.html

Hey noah,

Are this study still available? In case of yes, could it be in Spanish? I guess no, but I'm not a native speaker and my English is not as good as I would like.

Thanks!

Yes, but narration would have to be in English and ideally show interesting use cases or usage that exceeds the video tutorials.

A special case for replacing '/' (often used on TVDB for titles of combined episodes etc) with '⁄ ', as noted by rednoah here:

viewtopic.php?f=5&t=12343
Top-level bindings such as {t} strip / slash implicitly, among other sanitation operations. However, you can use {episode.title} to access the raw value, which may contain / slash, may be infinitely long, etc.
My groovy format file now uses the raw value like this, and I always manually check the result as inbuilt checks are bypassed:

Code: Select all

{sxe} {episode.title.replace(
	'<' : '﹤',
	'>' : '﹥',
	':' : 'ː',
	'"' : '“',
	'/' : '⁄',
	'|' : '⼁',
	'?' : '?',
	'*' : '﹡',
	'\\': '∖'
)}

Hi rednoah, I´m new to the forum. I just recorded a couple videos using the software, I tried sending you a PM, but it seems that new users aren´t allowed, is there any other way to send you the video links on private? thank you.

EDIT: I tried a second time, I think after the my first post it allowed me this time.

Thank you for your time! Your complimentary license should be in your inbox already. 🙏

EDIT:

Note that this is by far the most useful screen recording to date. Few have bothered to narrate the thought process. There's a few interesting bits where you're searching for features that you thought should exist (and do exist but perhaps a bit hidden) but just couldn't find at the time. So if you have another ~3 friends that might benefit from a free 1yr license, please PM me their emails. ;)

:idea: You can use Double-Click New Names ➔ Edit Match to fix matches. See FAQ #2 for details.
:idea: You can use Presets for pre-defined actions and associated keyboard shortcuts
:idea: You can use a custom format such as {collection}/{ci.pad 2} - {ny} (ci ... collection index) to generate file paths like Star Wars Collection/04 - Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999). Though for Star Wars Episode 1..9 the "watch order" might be tricky, and the best option here might be just passing through the number from the original filename. It's easier for other collections. In any case, this particular topic probably deserves it's own thread.

Hi RedNoah and Happy New Year !

Thanks to your help i'm using and arguments file to dispatch my files according to their characteristics in various drives/folders like this :
2160P HDR --> B:\2160P HDR10\
2160P non HDR --> B:\2160P\
720P --> B:\720P\
DVDRIP --> H:\DVDRIPS\
1080P --> S:\1080P\

I use the following arguments file

Code: Select all

ut_label=Movies
movieFormat={hd.replaceAll("UHD", replacement = "B:/2160P").replaceAll("SD", replacement = "H:/DVDRIPS").replaceAll("HD", replacement =  vf.replaceAll("720p", replacement = "B:/720P").replaceAll("1080p", replacement = "S:/1080P"))} {hdr}/{collection.ascii()}/{ny.ascii().upperInitial()} [{imdbid}]/{ny.ascii().upperInitial()} [{imdbid}] {if (hd =~ /HD/) vf} {hdr}
seriesFormat="E:/TV Shows/{n}/{n}.{s00e00}.{t}"
animeFormat="E:/Anime/{n}/{n}.{s00e00}.{t}"

I now have to separate 1080P Files according to them belonging or not to a collection like follows :
2160P HDR --> B:\2160P HDR10\
2160P non HDR --> B:\2160P\
720P --> B:\720P\
DVDRIP --> H:\DVDRIPS\
1080P and part of a collection --> S:\1080P - Sagas\
1080P and not part of a collection --> I:\1080P\

I tried without success modifying my arguments file like follows :

Code: Select all

ut_label=Movies
movieFormat={hd.replaceAll("UHD", replacement = "B:/2160P").replaceAll("SD", replacement = "H:/DVDRIPS").replaceAll("HD", replacement =  vf.replaceAll("720p", replacement = "B:/720P").replaceAll("1080p", {any{collection}.replaceall{"S:/Sagas - 1080P"}{"I:/1080P"}}))} {hdr}/{collection.ascii()}/{ny.ascii().upperInitial()} [{imdbid}]/{ny.ascii().upperInitial()} [{imdbid}] {if (hd =~ /HD/) vf} {hdr}
seriesFormat="E:/TV Shows/{n}/{n}.{s00e00}.{t}"
animeFormat="E:/Anime/{n}/{n}.{s00e00}.{t}"

Could you please help me ?

Many thanks

my take on it ;)

Good evening Kim

Thanks a lot !!!

I spent days trying to figure the right way to do it and you crunched this in no time... Impressive

I did spend a lot of time in the forum reading exemples and in the FAQ and did not see how to use the pathList, neither the use of .get... And I would not have been able to think ot the concatenation trick for 1080P with the any{collection ? true : true}{false}

Works like a charm, and helps me understand better all those functions which make filebot so powerfull

Many thanks again for your help and happy New Year too

Best regards

Hi, apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place. I have tried to find the answer out myself elsewhere.

I use the command:

Code: Select all

filebot -script fn:artwork.tmdb FILE_DIR
To download artwork and nfo files for my movies. It has worked really well for a couple of years now, I love it.

I have noticed that the nfo files generated don't have a language property even though original_language is offered from the tmdb API.

Is there any way to get the nfo file to contain language also?

Thanks very much.

It's not official KODI info:
https://kodi.wiki/view/NFO_files/Movies

but you can add e.g. this...

Code: Select all

			i.spokenLanguages.each{
				languages(it)
			}
(I'm not sure but I think you can replace the 'spokenLanguages' with 'originalLanguage' e.g. 'originalLanguage(i.originalLanguage)' )
...to local copy of this file:
https://github.com/filebot/scripts/blob ... tpc.groovy
+
https://github.com/filebot/scripts/blob ... mdb.groovy

NOTICE!

Code: Select all

include('lib/htpc')
= lib folder

Maybe use my amc script ?

I'm nearly done with my OCD :D

Films is the main one, it's a close relative to plex but with multi entry collection folders and no 'The' prefix. That's how i browse my full library in explorer.

Plex is where things are tidy.

Collections and Studios use a --filter. The All folder in Collections is for single entry collections.

Directors, Genres, Bitrate, Resolution, Size, Ratings, Language, Year have no filter, they're just different sorting orders with different schemes.

For example Language/Other looks like this

Image

I use year first in several ones, like Directors, Studios, Year

If you want to know more just ask :)
Looks great. Please let me know how to show folders under some category, (ex. first image). is it a separate magic app or just windows file explorer

Please contact Paddle for refunds, especially if you have mistyped your email address. Your "v" key may have a mechanical defect, since a manual search of recent orders did reveal a dincerolkan. Please do make sure to double-check your email address in this regard, as to avoid unnecessary displeasure in the future.

:idea: We can find your order based on your Order Number but only Paddle can find your Order Number based on your Payment Details. Paddle Staff typically replies within 1-3 working (i.e. Monday to Friday) days.

I know that I should be able to figure this out on my own. But, I haven't been able to if there is a place I should be redirected to learn this on my own I am not resistant to that, in fact I might appreciate it.
II have my media locally and then use the following AMC "script" (I do not even know if what I am doing is a script I just call it that in my head) from the command line before I move my media into Plex. This has been life changing from using filebot to rename individually.
I am looking to add download english subtitles to this script if possible:

Code: Select all

filebot -script fn:amc --output "/path/to/output" --action duplicate -non-strict "/path/to/input" --log-file amc.log --def excludeList=amc.txt
Thanks in advance sorry for my ignorance and I appreciate any help.

The amc script already has an option for that, so you can just add it to your command-line:

Code: Select all

--def subtitles=en

I got this to work by myself before realising {az} existed, but... it files "Riddick (2013)" into /C/ (presumably because the 1st film was "The Chronicles of Riddick") so I am not sure if this is a bug or not. I would prefer to file it into /R/.

The second snippet works except movies starting with "A" or "The" etc (filing it into /A/ or /T/ respectfully).

The following worked for me:

Code: Select all

{n.replaceFirst(/(?i)(The |A |An |)(.).*/, /$2/)}

[edit]: that was a typo - I'd want to put in into a folder called 0-9

Is there a way to sort on names minus "The"?

IE Sorted or filed or renamed as "Big Lebowski, The" as opposed to "The Big..."

Lots of "The" movies in my collection I would rather sort differently...
